When you see it, you want to touch it

I can't wait for the delivery service to bring my packages this week. Packages containing monoprints of my iPad art. For my exhibition on February 4 and 5 in Utrecht.

I ordered prints in the small format (30x40cm), as well as in the large format 60x80cm. They are glued to aluminum dibond for a nice smooth effect. And they are framed.

I find it exciting… because what if the image doesn't work in the large format? But I don't have to be nervous at all, because I've already ordered such a large print, as a test. On the same paper: Hahnemühle Photo Mat Fiber 200. It has a nice matte quality. It doesn't reflect. And it has a soft touch. When you see it, you want to touch it.

Moreover, I have already ordered a proof in the 30x40cm format. I also had it framed. Beautiful color print. And the paper is indeed soft to the touch. The narrow wooden frame looks good. And is not too expensive, but still chic.

This new digital project is inspiring. I also bought a great monitor to be able to work on a big screen. This way I can see what I'm doing much better than on the small iPad screen. And it gives me a better picture of the final print: the monoprint.
