OIL PAINTING 50x40cm The dance of the willows

Two willow trees dance near the water. Winter is coming, but they don't care. They dance closely together. Their thorny branches are entwined. 


I painted this over an older painting. I scratched the branches with a palette knife, so the colours of the older painting show through. By doing so, I also used the dried out lines and blobs to make the willows look gnarled.
