I've been making digital art with Procreate on iPad for over a year now. And I want to offer that work on my website. That's quite a job.
But first this: how do I create digital art? I draw and paint on a touchscreen with an Apple pencil. Before you start thinking that I am sponsored by this ICT giant: no. I have no idea how to do that.
But I was talking about digital art.
How did I come to work digitally? September 2021 I had to spend a few days in hospital isolation after receiving radioactive iodine treatment (for thyroid cancer). It won't make you very sick and it won't hurt. So I had made a plan in advance to pass my time well. Part of the plan was: Procreate learning. And I don't regret that.
I would almost say: it was a blessing in disguise.
Procreate is an app with an incredible amount of possibilities. Not only for artists, but for everyone who likes drawing and painting. And the great thing is: you can make endless variations of a work, without filling up your entire studio with semi-dry paintings.
Some variants are better than others, of course, but I kept them all.
I take out the best. You can buy them in a while via my website. As a unique work of art. Signed. Printed once and exclusively on demand on high quality fine-art paper. You can choose from different formats. And you can order it framed. Then you have a unique work of art at home. This is essentially my new digital art plan. I'm working hard on it now. Soon more news.
